outside the baby factory
In the past, print shops were the only way for people to see the photos they took with their cameras. Before the digital era, photographs were more valuable—people had to pay for film, making each shot count.
Today, anyone can take photos without cost, using mobile phones or digital cameras. Images can be viewed instantly on screens, saved on hard drives, or uploaded to the cloud. It is a different time, yet print shops still have many customers. While digital screens provide easy access to photos, more people than ever before are taking pictures—and some still want to print them.
In this photo, a woman exits a print shop holding her baby. To my eyes, it looked as if the shop were a baby factory, and she had just purchased one.
